On the Hill

Last Tuesday, Blood:Water left music city for the nation’s capitol. We went to attend a small reception hosted by our newest board member, Porter DeLaney of The Kyle House Group. Blood:Water and Kyle House Group had been working together to coordinate a casual, post-work gathering to bring our message and showcase our partnerships in Africa to DC.

We hope our relationships in DC continue to grow and flourish. We’re even hoping to have a couple of Blood:Water House Concerts in that neck of the woods in the coming year. House Concerts are an incredibly fun way to raise support for the work in Africa over food, live music and fellowship. To learn more, check out our Host Guide.

I loved being able to talk with new and former board members at the event, and we made a ton of new friends who are excited about the work Blood:Water is doing. Mike and I were so thrilled to hear from other people whose passion matched that of Blood:Water and were anxious to make a difference.

If you’d like us to visit you in your city or host a house concert, please email me at kandrews@bloodwater.org.
