Since some of the terms Tori and Brianne mentioned are complicated, we have provided a few definitions for clarification.

CD4: 

CD4 cells are a type of white blood cells that fight infection. The HIV virus targets and destroys CD4 cells.

Antiretroviral Drug Therapy (ART): 

Antiretroviral drugs use in ART do not kill HIV, but they do help slow the growth of the virus.
