Down on the Farm
It was the perfect springtime night. It was warm but breezy and the smell of summer was just around the corner. Even bullfrogs sang their own deep melody in the background. Last Wednesday night, in the midst of many Nashville competing spring festivities and the closing of many local county schools for the summer, the Blood:Water team headed down to our Board Chair’s farm in Franklin to put on our 3rd Annual Private Event on the Farm.
The past two years have featured our friends, Grammy Award winning Little Big Town. Since they joined us at our Knoxville Hope in the Dark event in April, we decided to shake the scene up a bit. So this year, Grammy nominated country music star David Nail took the stage!
The night raised over $70,000 for clean water and HIV/AIDS relief in Africa! We were so thankful for the incredible generosity and a turnout of over 140 guests in the middle of a busy week in Tennessee. Many thanks to everyone who joined us, to our amazing hosts, Stuart & Leigh Anne McWhorter, to David Nail, to our guest speakers, Wally of WAY-FM and Singer/Songwriter Drew Holcomb, to our sponsors and to our awesome team. It was a great night in Franklin! Let’s do it again next year.
