Congratulations are in order for CrossFit Hermitage! Its members accepted the H:20 water challenge to celebrate clean water and help share those benefits with our friends in Africa. As a result, they raised the most money at the close of the competition Friday, March 24, at noon CT.

CrossFit Hermitage’s gym owner, Brandy Forbes, joined us in office on Friday to celebrate the impact her members had on communities in Africa. She shared with us the incredible ways the coaches motivated individuals to give, which included an innovative point system, as well as pictures of Rich Froning hung up all around the gym.

The latter technique received slight protest from male participants by the end of the competition, but it was all for a purpose! The money they raised represents clean water, sanitation, and hygiene for 50 people in Africa, and because of their triumph, Rich Froning, four-time Fittest Man Alive, will be joining CrossFit Hermitage’s members to lead a WOD (that’s workout of the day for all of the non-Fit people of the world).

Blood:Water would like to thank all the gyms that participated in our very first competition fundraiser! Your hustle may have been motivated by Rich, but the difference you have made to help equip our partners in the fight to end the water crisis in Africa is the real victory.
