You’re looking at a raintank built in Rwanda in 2007. If you look way off in the distance you can see a lake about five miles away. The community used to get their water from the lake, which was filled with bacteria that could make them ill. (Not to mention, their only water source was five miles away!) The raintank holds clean water and stores it where contaminants cannot reach it.

We are doing something similar for three villages in Rwanda this Lent. But, instead of raintanks, we are helping fund protected springs. We aim to fund a spring in all three villages through Save a Drink, Save a Life. Each spring will provide enough clean water for everyone in each village.

Lent is over in one week. But, it’s not too late to join or give to our campaign. Click here to get started.
