As we head into the holiday season, we prepare for our fourth annual Red Tie Gala, which is just about one month away. Returning to the Country Music Hall of Fame, we expect about 500 local, regional, and national supporters of Blood:Water to gather together and reflect upon the work we have done this year in support of the fight against HIV/AIDS.

At this year’s event, we are privileged to honor Ambassador-at-Large, Deborah L. Birx, M.D., coordinator of U.S. Government Activities to Combat HIV/AIDS and U.S. special representative for Global Health Diplomacy. We will also recognize the work of Thomas Coates, Ph.D., director of the UCLA Center for World Health.

The evening will also feature a special musical performance by Grammy and CMA Award winner, Emmylou Harris.

The gala will conclude with a campaign specifically requesting support for Blood:Water’s work in Isiolo, Kenya. Proceeds from the evening will allow Blood:Water to continue working alongside our partners there, to enhance the Tumaini health care facilities, improve integrated community health delivery systems, and advance the capacity building of our local partner. This will provide quality comprehensive HIV service to more than 10,000 people in the area!

If you are interested in joining us on Dec. 3 in Nashville, you can purchase single tickets or become a table sponsor here.

We hope to see you there!
