It’s back to school time and that means tax free weekend time!
This coming weekend, Aug. 1-3 is tax free weekend for my home state Tennessee. Now, I know that’s not the case for every state. But, don’t worry; many of your tax free weekends are coming. Check out this list to find out when.
With this very welcome “holiday,” I want to issue you a challenge. Take what you save on taxes and give to children in Africa who currently don’t even have the chance to go to school. Children in Africa often can’t make it to class because they are searching for water or they are too sick from drinking dirty, closer by water. Sometimes it’s because they don’t have the proper uniform. And, other times, it’s because there isn’t a sanitary place to use the bathroom.
That shouldn’t be a reality for any child.
It only takes $50 to change that reality for kids in Africa. Just $50 could mean clean drinking water, uniforms or supplies to get them back in the classroom.
